yesterday gabi brought me to the chicago water lantern festival! evan n kalyn also joined. was pretty fun until the actual drop-off when people started swarming our lookout spot haha
had $15 credit on lyft due to some Lyft incident + the monthly chase sapphire reserve credit, but even then, i mentally struggled to book a car back from even DESPITE working late (like two hours lol) and KNOWING that $10 chase credit would expire worthless in 5 days…
ended up costing me <$2 out of pocket to get home, but is this scarcity mindset at play? probably.
oh yeah, someone forgot their iphone on the divvy scooter i took yesterday. i looked down halfway to my destination and was like huh, that’s not my phone. ended up giving it to a big box management office after charging it a bit. i tried calling the person’s mom and dad via siri, but no contact was found + the phone locked itself shortly after too; oh well, i tried.
i tried making chawanmushi last night but it didn’t custard up… gabi says it still tasted wonderful though! it did smell really good, will try again sometime
